The Hygienius^® ‘Green’ credentials

The unique control of low pressure water delivery system intrinsic in the Hygienius^®, means that it uses less than one quarter of the water needed for a ten second wash by any other conventional ‘plumbed in’ system.

Every drop of water is used efficiently and the scientifically controlled flow means maximum 'wash effectiveness'.

The instantaneous heater too is incredibly energy efficient. As the water is only heated as required and then only to the optimum hand washing temperature of 40/45’C, there is very little heat energy wasted.

A conservative estimate for the energy used in a ten second wash is less a sixth of that needed for any other type of hot wash.

The explanation is that the conventional hot water storage system needs much higher water temperatures for Health and Safety reasons. Couple this with the large amount of hot water that is generally wasted and the massive heat losses from storage tanks, valves, pipe work etc. and it becomes easy to understand the extraordinary energy efficiency of the new Hygienius^®.
