After 3-5 seconds, when the water has reached the correct temperature of 40/45’C, the wash will commence and the light will be extinguished.

With the 10 second hot wash completed, the hands must be lifted from the bowl to allow the system to reset. When reset the Bluesensor will light up again and the wash cycle can be repeated for additional washing or rinsing as required.

The TEALtainer™ II Twin Bag is located in the base of the Hygienius® and is a self contained carrying vessel for both the fresh and waste water, each separately and hygienically secured.

It contains 2 - 10 litre capacity heavy duty plastic bags with separate lids. The WHITE sealed lid is complete with fresh water dip tube and connector whilst the RED open one sits beneath the waste water outlet from the bowl inside the Hygienius®.

Once the 10 litres of fresh water has been used up then the waste bag will be full. The waste water can then be emptied into a sluice or suitable foul water drain and the bag for fresh water can be replenished.

Each ten second wash uses approximately 200 ml of water so that the TEALtainer™ provides approximately 50 ten second hot washes.

TEALtruck
For busy locations or where there are several units needing frequent water replacement, the TEALtruck can make life much easier. It comes complete with 2 spare TEALtainer II Twin bags and being fitted with sturdy wheels, a trip to the sluice for emptying and replenishment saves time and effort.

A simple and effective Disinfectation Routinei

With the current concerns over with stale and infected water in conventional 'plumbed-in' systems causing serious infections like Legionella, TEAL engineers have devloped a unique design that uses instantanious water heating and delivers a spray without fine water droplets both big problems with conventional sinks. The disinfection routine recommended by The Hospital Infection Research Laboratory, lays any fears of water born infections completely to rest.

Disinfection is as follows:-

(1). Remove and empty the TEALtainer and replenish the fresh water bag with a 500ppm chlorine solution.

(2). Re-connect the TEALtainer and actuate the small red purge button located beneath the lift up display panel on the power box alongside the ON/OFF switch.

(3). Allow the flow to operate for 5 minutes.

(4). Press red button again to stop the flow and remove and empty the TEALtainer.

(5). Refill the TEALtainer with fresh clean water and reconnect. Use the red purge button again to flush out any remaining disinfectant.

(6). Empty the TEALtainer and refill with fresh water.

(7). The Hygienius is now completly disinfected and ready for use.

The Hospital Infection Research Laboratory at City Hospital, Dudley Road, Birmingham states that this routine "once every other day is sufficient to maintain a negligible level of contamination."
